John Quinn
Bio

John Quinn first got into photography in August of 1999 before he entered 8th grade. He was visiting family in the UP and started taking pictures with some disposable Kodak cameras he bought. He realized how much he enjoyed taking pictures, especially after he saw how well some of them came out. One of the photos below is the photo from the trip that really inspired John to keep taking pictures (the sunset picture). Months later his parents bought him a 35mm Fuji camera and ever since then John has been taking pictures.

After starting college in the fall of 2004 John began learning how to edit photos and bought a new camera, a Nikon D70. He is now majoring in art with a photography concentration at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

To John, photography is about showing the world to people as he sees it. Photography makes others look at the world or themselves as he percieves them to be.

John also writes and plays piano in his spare time. His minor at WSU is English. Most of his writing is in poetry form, though be prefers storytelling.

John is very excited to be part of WLT and can't wait to see what happens.
