Jon Moshier
Bio

Jon Moshier's world of art has traditionally involved sound. Since late 1996, he's been a mainstay on WDET 101.9 FM Detroit Public Radio as Music Coordinator and host of his own show Saturday 10p - midnight. Before that he lived and breathed the subterranean world of college radio helping to launch WXOU in Rochester and putting in time at radio stations like CJAM in Windsor, the now infamous and no-longer WORB in Farmington Hills and WCBN in Ann Arbor -where, most notably, he spent many a long night performing live in-studio sound collage broadcasts with Ed Special (also quite infamous). He has also performed live sound collage for film and video. Additionally, Jon is one-half of the "post-punk" instrumental group "in door park". He is the group's drummer and provider of found-sound audio. With a love of the visual arts, Moshier would paint if he had the patience and the talent. Instead, he enjoys using a camera to capture the art that already exists in his surroundings.
