Allison Glenn
Bio

Allison Glenn has been taking photographs since she was introduced to the art form by her father at 12 years old.   She dabbled in it-but didnt get serious until she was older and decided to major in it at university.

Photography for her is about surrealism and the full expression of her voyeuristic tendencies.   For Allison, the camera is about capture and the ability to express any moment in a more personal form.   Her life is her camera and her work is her life.  Subject matter is without a question more about those she loves and the bond that forms when they sit for her.

Spending a year in England concentrating on her Urban Studies co-major, Allison lived without her passion in a subconscious attempt to stave off the inevitable...that she cannot live without her work.
"One of the best rewards of photographing someone comes when they take over the sitting.   At first most people are apprehensive, but after a few rolls move into the realm of art direction.   The session then becomes a collaboration and biography."
Allison is a freelance photographer and student at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.   She is currently contributing to EgoDetroit Magazine, USCORE (sports photography), and picturethisdetroit.com.
